Reggie’s Childhood
Reggie’s parents were both very involved in Jehovah’s Witnesses. Reggie’s mother was very strict and critical of his brother, David. She was also critical of the family’s lifestyle. Reggie was often the one who had to deal with his mother’s anger. He was not allowed to play with his friends, not allowed to use the phone, and not allowed to attend sleep over parties at his friends’ houses. Reggie was also not allowed to play sports or go to movies.
