When I first met Hampton, I thought he was an ENFP. He has a lot of the qualities of an ENFP: a love of the arts, a great imagination, a great degree of nonconformity, and a love for social justice. But Hampton also has a lot of the qualities of an INFP: a strong empathy for others, a deep sensitivity to things that go on in people’s lives.
In this conversation, Hampton talks about how he is supporting his family as a doctoral student, working as a music teacher, and still making time to pursue his passions. He also talks about the importance of listening and letting people know you care about them and their experience.
