Jimmy Wales personality type is INTP, who I also happen to be. I’m not simply an advocate of free speech, even if it’s controversial, I’m also an advocate of people being able to say whatever they want, without being harassed or threatened.
I have a hard time believing that this guy was purposefully trying to harm the reputation of the organization he took issue with. If he was, he was doing a bad job at it, because no one really believes his story. His claims are so ludicrously exaggerated that he has no credibility whatsoever. He clearly was not trying to protect anyone or anything, he was just trying to find a way to make himself relevant again.
But saying that he was trying to hurt Wikipedia is like saying that someone who talks shit about you and calls you a faggot and makes fun of your religion is trying to hurt you and your religion.
I can’t imagine any rational person believing that anyone who is against censoring things on Wikipedia is trying to censor them.
