In The Eye of the World, Silas was literally blind. He was born blind and was in fact blind the entire time with no cure for it until he was ten years old. After he was cured, he had to learn how to see again and started to learn how to see the world around him. He was taught to see through his heart and through his intuition. This may have been because he was a dreamer, but it also had to do with his personality type in that he sees the world through his heart and not just his eyes. He’s very compassionate and would do anything for anyone.
Silas is also extremely realistic. He knows he can’t change the world, but he wants to change the world in a positive way. He’s a moralist who believes that he has a responsibility to make a difference in this world.
