Alice personality type is ISTP, and so it is no surprise that in her case, she is type and fun. She is also one of the few ISTPs I know of who is very practical. She is simply not given to flights of fancy, impulsive actions, or acting on whims. She is cool-headed, rational, and analytically oriented. She has a great sense of how things work, and she works at them until she gets the job done. She’s also very decisive and strong-willed, especially later in life when she has to make her own life.
A combination of her type and her internal motivation means that she can get very focused on a project or task that has become important to her. She will put aside other things, even important things, if she is focused on doing something very well. She won’t let anything distract her from her purpose, even if she has to give up food or sleep or sex for it.
She is definitely not practical in the same way that an ISTP, an INTP, or an INTJ are practical. She is not practical in the sense of simply being realistic and prudent.
