Hayate is a very cheerful girl who can often be found smiling or laughing. She is very bright, but also very conventional. She is very much prone to jealousy when it comes to things like Kanade's relationship with Chihiro, but she does not show much jealousy otherwise. She is very well behaved and is very good at taking care of things, but has trouble focusing on complicated things for too long. She tends to stick her nose into things that she has no business meddling in, but she does not mean to do so. When she does, she tends to think over it and realize that what she did was wrong before apologizing.
