Lola Curious personality type is ENFJ, but that is not the type that is most prominent in the book. I think the description of ENFJ is more accurate.
I think you're probably right. I think the most prominent type that comes to mind when I read "Curious" is ENTP. And that's probably why I got so hung up on the word "ENFJ." I've had ENTPs in my life. I can't say that I know a ton of them, but I know a few. And they're just fascinating people. The "Insightful" part is definitely related to perception, but it's not so much the perception of others; it's their own perception of themselves.
