As an ESFP, I’m not particularly anxious. However, if I have to talk to someone for too long without them reciprocating my interest I become anxious. I feel like I’m being left out or isolated, which can make me feel worried about the lack of attention.
But the anxiety isn’t only about social isolation. It also occurs when I’m trying to stay focused on a task without the right tools to help me focus. My mind wanders, I get distracted, or I can’t focus on what I’m supposed to be doing because I’m worried I’ll mess up. These are all signs that my ESFP brain is kicking in.
ESFPs can become too wrapped up in their own thoughts to hear what other people are saying. When this happens, they need to find other ways to get other people’s attention.
