Sydney Stanley Bingham (1880-1944) was a British businessman, businessman and politician who served as a Member of Parliament from 1918 until his death in 1944.
In 1918, he was elected as a Labour Party MP for the new Birmingham constituency of Handsworth, which had been created from parts of the former constituencies of Birmingham East and Birmingham West. In 1924 he was elected as a Member of Parliament for Birmingham East, but in 1931 he moved to Birmingham West.
He was a prominent member of the Labour Party and became a junior minister in the Labour governments of Ramsay MacDonald and Clement Attlee.
Sydney Bingham was born in 1880 and died in 1944. He married Alice Bingham and they had two children: Maud and Frank. Frank became a leading figure in the National Federation of Labor and was later one of the founders of the National Union of Mineworkers.
