Kim Sun Young was born on November 1st, 1974, and he graduated from Korea University, majoring in economics. He joined the family business in 1995. After his graduation, he worked at Sunyang Construction, as well as at Hyundai Steel. In 2001, he became CEO at Sunyang Construction, and in 2004 he became COO at Hyundai Steel, before being named CEO of Hyundai Construction.
Kim Sun Young is married to his wife, Lee Sun Hwa, who has a law degree and a master’s degree in financial management. They have two daughters, Lee Si Hyun and Lee Si A. Both daughters are students at Kyungpook National University.
