Eliza Zhao was a child actress who appeared on a televised talent show in China called The Shadow of a Dream where she portrayed a young girl named “Li” who was abandoned in the desert by her family after an accident. The young Eliza Zhao was discovered by her agent at the airport when she was returning home to China after her parents had kicked her out after their car crashed.
Eliza Zhao's Hollywood debut was at the age of 13 in the movie “The Lost”. She played the role of “Annie” who lives with her mother in the apartment just below the apartment of “Lizzie” played by Oprah Winfrey. Eliza Zhao's character is the daughter of the famous actress played by Winfrey and Eliza Zhao's character comes in to the lives of the characters played by Winfrey and Robert Downey Jr. when she is in need of help.
