When I was first introduced to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, I was skeptical that it could possibly describe me. What does E serve as a function for? How do you explain me? I dislike categorization, and I’m not a fan of the word “type.” I didn’t really buy into the idea that there were discrete categories of people out there, but I was completely intrigued by the idea of a personality type.
At a certain point, however, I realized that I wasn’t going to be able to deny the fact that I had a particular personality type. It was completely true. I am a ENTP. And while some people might think that this is a negative thing, especially at times when I am feeling overwhelmed by my own impulsivity, I have learned to embrace it.
