Abraham Kenyatta (born 15 Feb 1909, died 7 Jan 1997) was the third son of the founder of Kenya, Jomo Kenyatta. He became the first African to be elected to the UN General Assembly. He was also elected to the Kenyan National Assembly. He was also a respected writer, publishing several books.
Kenyatta was born in Eldoret, Kenya, on 15 Feb 1909. He was the second son of Jomo Kenyatta, who became the first Prime Minister of Kenya. His mother was his father's second wife, Ruth Kenyatta. He married Ruth Kenyatta in 1939, and they had six children together, including the Reverend Dr. Anyang' Nyong'o.
Kenyatta was educated at St. Paul's Missionary School in Mombasa. He studied law at St. Stephen's College, Nairobi, where he was a member of the St. Stephen's College Old Collegians Society. He was a member of the St. Stephen's College Old Collegians Society from 1928 until his death in 1997.
