Atlas personality type is ISTP, the artist. ISTPs are focused on the here and now. They are vigilant and observant and can be suspicious, but they are not the cynical and distrustful types that most often personify the stereotype of the ISTP. Indeed, ISTPs are not cynical; they are merely realistic. They do not assume that everyone is out to cheat them or take advantage of them, but they can be suspicious of others and may assume that others are out to take advantage of them. They are not likely to accuse others of doing such things, however. ISTPs are constantly on the alert, looking for opportunities to help others. They like to help people with problems, but they do not go out of their way to do so unless the situation clearly calls for it; they dislike wasting their time on people who do not need their help. They are good listeners and seem to have a sixth sense about what other people have to say; their perceptions are acute.
