Orlando personality type is ESTP, and a bit of an "old soul."
"He's a little bit of an old soul; he's a little bit of a teenager," said Orlando Sentinel columnist Dave Catanese, a former Tribune columnist. "He's going to be a very good boss, because he's young and energetic, but he's also very understanding of what it takes to run a business."
Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer said the city needs to continue to invest in public safety, infrastructure and technology.
"I think we've got a lot of work to do," Dyer said. "We're almost at the top of the list in terms of what it takes to have a world-class city, and we need to keep pushing forward."
The five candidates represent new faces on the city council.
Two of the candidates are first-time candidates: Ed Hooper, a board member with the Central Florida Future Farmers of America, and Jacqueline Smith, a former board member with the Central Florida Community Action Agency. They join Orlando police Chief John Mina and three council members who ran unopposed on Tuesday.
