Shaman Durek personality type is ISFP, and he feels the need to make the world a better place for 'the ones who don't make it'. He loves the idea of being able to protect the people he cares about, and the idea behind his shamanism... is definitely a way to do that.
For those of you who are not familiar, I'll tell you a bit of the backstory:
There's this big criminal organization, and they're working on ways to make lots of money. They have plans to take over the world, and they're stealing all sorts of things (including things that are important to me). They are also covering up the fact that they are the ones who have been working to make lots of money.
The SHADOW organization is working to take them down. What we have here, is a corporation that wants to make all the money it can, and hides in the shadows, and does all sorts of bad things (like killing off all their competitors). Because our character wants to help people out and make sure that no one has to suffer, he's taken it upon himself to help stop them.
(I'm not asking for canon... but I might be.)
