Avantika's True Name is Ajnamitra (from Ajan, the mother of the sun, and Mitra, the God of Law). Ajnamitra is also known as "the Destroyer" or "the Destroyer of Devas" because it destroys the devas (demons) and their creations. When she is called by her true name, she becomes supremely powerful. The word "ajnamitra" is the Hindi word for "destroyer".
Avantika's first appearance was in Chapter 1 of the first volume of "The Immortals", but she was still known by her demon form of Ajnamitra, until Volume two when she first appeared in human form as Avantika. In Volume 3, she finally revealed herself as Ajnamitra full-time.
Her power is the ability to bring destruction on a massive scale by drawing on a demonic strength that allows her to control stars and other elements. She can also control a planet's gravity, causing earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and planetary destruction.
