What is the personality type of Steel Guitar? Which MBTI personality type best fits? Personality type for Steel Guitar from Musical Instruments and what is the personality traits.
Steel Guitar personality type is ISTP, or the Rational-Loyal-Artistic. While I've never met one, I've had a few phone conversations with one, and they described themselves as "a realist, loyal to my friends and my family, and a real bass player. Being an ISTP, I'm very logical and analytical and logical. Sometimes I get in my own way with my emotions. I can get emotional on certain things that are very important to me, but I'm good at it. I think I'm good at expressing my feelings."
I don't know if that's true of all ISTPs, but it is true of many of them. My Dad described himself as an ISTP once, and he is definitely one. ISTPs are generally very logical and do not take a lot of emotional issues to heart. ISTPs are also very loyal and would do anything for their loved ones. ISTPs are also very creative and have a great deal of artistic ability. ISTPs are very passionate about their music and are great players. ISTPs have strong imaginations and can have vivid dreams.
ISTP's tend to be the most creative of the four types, which explains why they are generally the best at their instrument.
A steel guitar is any guitar played while moving a steel bar or similar hard object against plucked strings. The bar itself is called a "steel" and is the source of the name "steel guitar". The instrument differs from a conventional guitar in that it does not use frets; conceptually, it is somewhat akin to playing a guitar with one finger. Known for its portamento capabilities, gliding smoothly over every pitch between notes, the instrument can produce a sinuous crying sound and deep vibrato emulating the human singing voice. Typically, the strings are plucked by the fingers of the dominant hand, while the steel tone bar is pressed lightly against the strings and moved by the opposite hand. The idea of creating music with a slide of some type has been traced back to early African instruments, but the modern steel guitar was conceived and popularized in the Hawaiian Islands.
