Frank Longbottom personality type is INFJ, the introverted intuitive function. I’m not sure how to explain INFJ’s without going too far into the development of the functions. INFJ’s are earnestly interested in understanding the world around them, but they aren’t interested in doing so simply to impress others, or to be seen as important. INFJ’s are not looking for praise or acceptance, but rather seeking to improve themselves so they can better understand the world around them.
The functions behind INFJ’s input are Ni (Narcissism) and Fe (Introversion). Ni is the drive toward self-knowledge and self-improvement that drives INFJ’s toward truth seeking. INFJ’s desire to understand the world, but they don’t want to create unnecessary conflict by forcing their understanding on others.
Frank C.J. Longbottom was a pure-blood wizard, an Auror for the Ministry of Magic during Lord Voldemort's first rise to power. He was the son of Augusta Longbottom and the husband of Auror Alice Longbottom. Frank and his wife were original members of the Order of the Phoenix and fought against Death Eaters during the First Wizarding War. At the end of the war in 1981, when their son Neville was only an infant, he and his wife were tortured into insanity by four Death Eaters.
