Lady personality type is INFJ, the artist. As those of you who have read my posts before know, I'm an INFJ. I've been very vocal about the fact that the INFJ is not always as well-suited as other types to the world of journalism. And it's true -- we INFJ's can be a lot of things, but we're not always great journalists. But we're not bad. We're just different, and so we can learn all kinds of kinds of things from other people, and we can even be excellent and even the best journalists out there.
And so, I want to take this opportunity to share some things that I've learned from other INFJ's over the years, and ways that you can use those things to be a more effective journalist.
The first thing I want to talk about is this: INFJ's are introverts. If you're not an introvert, don't worry; we're not all like this. But we are, and we still can be excellent journalists. We can spend a lot of time alone, and we like it that way. And we like to think and process and examine and think and talk and debate and write and analyze and really think about things.
