The wolf-like traits that come with being a werewolf are also well represented in the film. The "Claws" attack that was seen in the trailer is one of them. It's possible that it has something to do with the werewolf's other natural form, but it could also be used as a weapon.
The film's teaser trailer revealed that the villainous character that Bella ends up being linked to is a "Hybrid." He's definitely a Lycan, but he doesn't have just a wolf's body. He's an "abomination" too, which doesn't make him a werewolf at all. But if he's part vampire, it's possible that he could be related to the wolf-like creatures from the trailer.
The trailer also revealed that the werewolf's first human victim is a man named Jacob. The name "Jacob" is the same name as Edward's father in the book, which is interesting because Bella's father figures out that she's a vampire right before she ends up killing him in the book.
