Mai Sawaguchi personality type is INFJ, so I assumed for sure it would be a female. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out it was a male. Mai is the main character in the show, so it's interesting to see what kind of character he is and his interactions with other characters.
The first episode was a little slow for me, but it picked up as the show went on and afterwards I can't stop watching. The story is about Mai and the people around him and the way they interact with him. The show also took a bold step in terms of animation, which I enjoyed very much. It's not your typical anime style and it's different from the OP and ED which are super happy and cute. The characters are also pretty cute and I really like Mai as a character.
Overall, the first episode is very slow and easy to get through, but it's definitely worth watching for the animation and characters. I'm interested to see how it will develop and how it will turn out. If you like character driven shows with a good story and good animation and you like anime, I really recommend this show.
