    Harry Dresden Personality Type, MBTI

What is the personality type of Harry Dresden? Which MBTI personality type best fits? Personality type for Harry Dresden from The Dresden Files and what is the personality traits.

    Harry Dresden
    ENTP

    ENTP (7w6)

Harry Dresden personality type is ENTP, and the author of the series is an ENTP. So we can safely assume that he has a well-developed intellect and a thirst for knowledge, so much so that he sees the world as a place where everything can be explained and mapped to a mathematical formula, and where human beings can be described as little more than biological machines that can be manipulated. Dresden is also extremely arrogant, bordering on narcissism, and he sees himself as a superior form of life, which is what comes from having such a strong intellect and such an overinflated view of himself.

Dresden's personality type and his world-view suggest that he would be a talented and skilled wizard, but we know from the books that he is not. He is one of those guys who has a knack for magic, but hasn't done anything to really cultivate it. He is also not nearly as clever as he thinks he is, as evidenced by the fact that he was easily duped by a woman he thought was a witch into thinking that she was going to kill him.

He has what I would call a “short attention span”, which means that he can't spend too much time away from his other interests.
