Minoru Kaigamori personality type is ISFJ, so I can't help but think they are similar.
As for the novel, the "powers" they have in the game apparently do little in the novel. Kazuya's "power" is just to be able to talk to ghosts, and that's it. No special powers, no special abilities, not even any special strengths or weaknesses. Even when he transforms into his true form, he's just another person with the same strength level. He's just able to talk to ghosts. Minoru's power is to shape-shift into his father, but that's literally all he does. He doesn't transform into his father, he doesn't become stronger, he doesn't get any special abilities...he's basically just like any other person (he does get a little stronger when he transforms into his father, but not by much). If you're wondering, yes, I do consider them both ISFJ.
I don't know for sure if Minoru is an ISFJ, but I can see it. I think Minoru's personality is more like Haruaki's (the male lead) than Minoru's is.
Minoru is Rohan Kishibe's manga editor. It's his first year in the business, and so he doesn't know how to act in a meeting. He seems to be quite respected for his work, as Rohan shows surprise that an editor such as himself didn't know about the De Staël's Art book and believed it was a music band.
