Suzi Q personality type is ESFJ, and the type you most likely have, according to a new survey.
“The ESFJ personality type is a very stable one that’s been around for a long time,” said the survey’s lead author, Marie-Claire Bellefontaine, who teaches at Université Laval in Quebec City, Canada. “People tend to be loyal to their work and company, as well as loyal to their family. So they feel a strong sense of duty and responsibility toward those groups.”
Bellefontaine and her colleagues have been studying the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator since its inception in the 1940s. The survey is a way to classify how people think and behave.
Although it’s a popular tool for career counselors and parents, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator has never been tested on the general population, the researchers said. So they conducted their own survey of 4,000 people in 20 countries to see if it would work for the general population, too.
The new results are published in the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin.
