I’m pretty sure that the only thing that Nakamura really has going for him is his drive, since he’s so determined to become a pro player. Everyone else has a pretty good idea what they want to do with their lives, but Nakamura has a very clear goal of being a pro player. He has a plan, and he seems to know exactly what he needs to do to get there.
I think that Nakamura is very self-aware and knows what he’s good at and what he needs to work on. He knows that he needs to improve his mental game, and he also knows that he needs to get better at playing the character of other players.
