I don't think "you're an introvert" is a compliment, especially if you are one of those people who thinks every introvert is a shy, antisocial, socially awkward person, who can't go to a coffee shop without having a panic attack.
I don't think you should feel ashamed for being an introvert or shy, or any other personality trait or behavior that makes you a particular type of person.
