I think that this personality type is good for solving mysteries, but it's not good for writing them. I wrote a novel about a detective, some years ago. It was called "The Case of the Missing Detective". It was about a detective named Brad Baxter who had been murdered by his boss, who then framed another detective for the murder. I wrote the novel as a pastiche of Raymond Chandler, with the character of Brad Baxter playing the role of Philip Marlowe. Brad Baxter was an ESTP personality type.
I think that Brad Baxter would have been a good detective, because he had all the right instincts.
