2. This is the first personality type that I have identified and I was surprised that it was the INFP. I have always assumed that people with the INFP are smart, creative and imaginative. I was surprised to find that my husband is a very smart and creative person, who is also a very imaginative and creative thinker. He is more introspective and interested in the what-is-going-on-in-the-world than the past and future, which is very typical of the INFP in my view.
3. That’s why I am a bit puzzled by his attitude towards the concept of “The Future”. Since he is an INFP, he would see the future in terms of possibility and the unknown.
His views on the future are that:
a. We cannot be sure what will happen in the future, so we should not try to predict it.
b. We can’t do anything about the future and we can only react to it and prepare ourselves for it.
c. We should do our best to prepare ourselves as best we can for the future, and it may not always be possible to do so correctly.
