In the first episode of Season 7, "Bart Carny", Apu states that he was born on August 14, 1955. This would make him at least 58 years old as of 2018. However, Apu's line stating that he was born in 1950 is a goof, as the final year of school before graduation in India is 1970. Apu claims to have spent eight years in college, which would have been from 1962 to 1968, which would have made him 52 or 53 years old as of 2018. In "Bart Carny", Homer says he watched The Simpsons since the early 1990s, so Apu should be at least 65 years old as of 2018. However, it is possible that he was born in the late 1950s and was still attending school at the time of the events of The Simpsons; he also appears to be in his late teens or early 20s during the early 1990s.
