“He’s prepared me to be a professional cricketer,” Gayle said of Buchanan. “I’ve grown up playing in England for Warwickshire, but when I came here, I was more relaxed. I used to have fun in training. I loved training here. “But with John Buchanan it’s made me more serious. I haven’t got to this stage in life without being serious about my job.”
