Eoin Morgan personality type is INTJ, and I did some analysis of him in my previous book, and there are some things about his personality type that are hardwired from birth that make him a good leader, and another part of his personality which is harder to express. It’s a very complex character to play.
So it sounds like you did interview a lot of people, but also you think this is something that is born and can’t be taught. That’s one of the reasons why you don’t think a player like Eoin Morgan has much hope of being a great captain.
I don’t think there’s much hope for a captain to be a great captain if they don’t have the personality to be a great captain in the first place. There’s lots of ways that people can become captains but if they don’t have the right personality, then they’re not going to find themselves as a captain.
So maybe they’re good at the job but they’re not actually the right person to be a captain?
