Don Vito Corleone personality type is INFJ, with an additional dash of ISTJ. So where did this come from?
I’m not sure that the INFJ is the most suitable personality type for the role of the Mafia Don.
The INFJ has the reputation of being the “introvert” type, who would prefer to spend time alone rather than in social situations. The INFJ enjoys solitude, but they are also very sensitive to the needs of others. They will spend time with people who are warm and caring, but they will also spend time alone if they need to. INFJs are usually not as outgoing as other types, so they probably wouldn’t be as popular as the ESTJ or the ENFJ. The INFJ would have a hard time commanding respect or being a leader, because they are more introspective and tend to be more quiet and reserved by nature. The INFJ might not be a good fit for a Mafia role, because their quiet nature might cause them to miss important clues or information that people might have shared with them.
There are a couple of other INFJ personalities that have been used as Mafia Dons, but none of them seemed to make much sense to me.
