This conflict is the most common among INFPs. It's a common belief that INFPs are naturally more intuitive than extraverted sensing types and less interested in what can be observed (Sensing). For example, people might say that INFPs are more interested in understanding their internal world than the external one (Intuition). This is not necessarily true, however. Intuitive and Sensing types can be equally interested in understanding how things work and how they relate to each other. Similarly, there is nothing "wrong" with an INFP simply being more interested in understanding the world as a whole than her Intuitive side.
