About six months after the above video was posted, Paku’s original video was deleted by Youtube. The following day, however, Paku had reposted the video, but it had been modified to remove the song lyrics.
The original video can still be found on Vimeo, while the edited video was removed from that site too.
Also, the song that is played in the background of the new video is not part of the original song, but an unrelated song. Paku explains, “The song I used is ‘Everyday On my Skin’ by Gorgon City.”
It’s unclear why Paku felt the need to modify his original video in order to avoid having to pay the copyright fee, or why he felt it necessary to post several different videos in an effort to avoid paying the fee.
Vimeo has not removed the earlier video that contained the song lyrics. That video can still be found on Youtube.
