Toby personality type is ENFP, and she's described as a "child-like individual with a child's view of the world", and that quote was very accurate of her personality. Because of this I used the ENFP personality type for her.
She's also an atheist, which I used to explain her relationship with religion as well as her general interest in how the human mind works.
I went with the orphanage setting for this because I thought it could be interesting and fun to do a story about how one of the orphanage's children would grow up to be an assassin. It also fit with how two-dimensional the other characters were.
I also used that quote from Zizek because it speaks to how the characters interact with one another, and how that interaction is never simple. What they see and feel is vastly different, and that means they have to be cautious in what they say, because what they say can have a profound effect on others.
I also used the quote regarding the difference between the way humans treat animals compared to how they treat each other. That quote is pretty accurate too, I think.
