Her parents were Italian-American immigrants who worked hard and wanted nothing more than to give their children a better life than they could have ever had themselves. Her mother was a school teacher and her father was a cop. They were both devout Catholics.
She had three sisters she was close to and a brother she was not as close with. Boof grew up on Long Island and attended Catholic schools there. She loved school and went on to graduate from St. John's College in Maryland and then went on to get her degree in law and business administration from Pace University. She also completed a computer program at the University of Maryland at College Park.
