I had a chance to speak with Scott at the recent People of Color (POC) Leadership Summit in San Diego, sponsored by ChiefOne. I asked her some questions.
How long have you had a POC background?
I have a POC background since my father was a Korean War veteran and my mother was a Russian immigrant. I have a very grandmotherly view of this because my grandmothers have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, so I have a pretty strong sense of what it means to be a minority woman in this country.
What was your path to being a minority woman in this country?
I grew up in a military family.
