Sailor Cosmos personality type is INFJ, and that's a type that is often misunderstood and undervalued.
It's one that's commonly described as introverted, sensitive and modest. But now, research from the University of Amsterdam is claiming there may be another reason why INFJs are misunderstood: they're actually socially awkward.
The study, published in Personality and Individual Differences, suggests INFJs are actually less socially inclined than their extroverted counterparts.
The study was conducted by the University of Amsterdam and headed by Dr Daphna Shiraev, who found that INFJs were less likely to be outgoing and more likely to be introverted.
She also found that they were more likely to seek close relationships with others and less likely to be comfortable with casual conversation.
Dr Shiraev noted: "INFJs are less sociable than the average person, but this is not because they do not want to interact with others, but because they face a considerable amount of social anxiety."
While the INFJ personality type is often considered one of the most misunderstood and underrated in the Myers-Briggs spectrum, there are actually other types that are clearer examples of the misunderstood character.
