Because I think that's what I am. In fact, I'm very good at talking to people I know already.
Although I'm not very good at talking to people I don't know. So I'd have to put myself into a situation where I have to talk to people I don't know. Perhaps that's why my ISFP personality type says that ISFPs are not good at interpersonal relations, because that's what they would have to do.
I don't think there is anything wrong with being shy around new people, but it does mean that you may not develop strong 10x relationships with people you don't already know very well, especially if they are strangers.
