Jungho personality type is INFP, while Yeonjung's is ISFJ. From what I can tell, Yeonjung's personality type is more in line with the SNSD type, while Jungho's is more in line with the Secret type.
It's still unclear how much of the differences in personality type is due to the differences in their roles in SNSD and Secret, and how much of it is related to their personal preferences. For example, Jungho's personality type seems much more similar to SNSD's than Secret's, but he himself doesn't seem to think so.
I think the main difference between the two relationships between the characters and the fandom is that Secret is a much more open relationship than SNSD. Many fans seem to prefer this for Secret's characters, but I think it's just because they're easier to understand as characters.
I'm not sure what you're looking for when you say "ideally, the couple should appear as a couple." I'm not even sure if I can answer that question as it's impossible to predict what people will prefer or dislike.
