I actually really enjoy being interrupted! In fact, I’m so used to it that I’ll often just keep going for a few minutes after I’ve been interrupted. Sometimes I’ll even go back and repeat myself a few times to make sure that the message is actually getting across.
What is your reaction when people “grip your hand” during a speech?
I actually like it! I think that it gives the audience an opportunity to really connect with me. And I always like to perform for people who are actively engaged in what I’m saying, so I definitely feel like it helps to have their attention.
