Why it's not the most accurate system:
While the MBTI does have a lot of strengths, I would hesitate to call it the most accurate. Myers and Briggs clearly identified their own ideas about the world and it took a lot of effort to validate those ideas. One of their ideas was that seeing is different than feeling. This is a very interesting idea, but it doesn't take into account many types who are, in fact, very much in touch with their feelings, such as the Feelingers.
Some of the other issues that I have with Myers-Briggs:
It's largely based on Jungian psychology rather than modern psychology and the MBTI doesn't take into account most of the new research or ways of understanding ourselves that have been developed over the past few decades. The MBTI doesn't take into account the latest research in neuroscience or psychology. It's not socially acceptable to say that someone you know has an MBTI personality type. It's not widely used or accepted by most psychologists, therapists, or schools of higher learning.
