Robox is a character created by the artist Rob Liefeld. He first appeared in one of his own comics, and was later transformed into a toy line by Hasbro.
The toy line consisted of roughly twenty figures. Each figure had a robot head and a human-sized body, and were stylized in post-apocalyptic fashion: the robots had shaved heads and dressed in boots and flannel shirts, while the humans wore flannel shirts and jeans. Many of the figures came with weapons, which included guns, axes, and other tools. Each figure came with a small cardboard "robot" figure that acted as a stand-in for the character inside the toy. The toy line also included a comic book and two different video games. The video games were very similar to platformers; the player controlled Robox, and had to find and rescue other Robox toys.
Robox is a non-linear side-scrolling game by Spanish studio Dreambox Games in which the player controls the eponymous robot and explores the depths of an alien planet. Robox received poor reviews, with reviewers describing it as confusing and tedious, albeit visually pleasing. It was released onto WiiWare, and was first sold on April 15, 2010.
