Balrog (Valaraukar) of Morgoth / Durin's Bane personality type is ESTP, which is the most dominant type for all four of the main races of Middle-earth. From what I can gather, Durin's Bane personality type is a combination of the two types ESTP and ENTP, which I will call "Morgoth". According to J.R.R. Tolkien, Morgoth (the Valaraukar) was "the darkness of Melkor" (Valaraukar, the darkness of Melkor), and was the first and greatest of the Valar who rebelled against the One and tried to bring about the Doom of the Elves. Morgoth's personality is thus described as follows:
"He was cold and malignant, alone in his malice; and therefore he hated all things that were or should be; and he desired to bring down the Blessed Realm of Aman because it was uplifted above the depths of his mind, and therefore he hated the Elves, for they had uplifted it" (The Silmarillion, "Of the Coming of Men into the West").
Morgoth (Valaraukar) had at his command demons who exalted themselves in the service of evilness and called themselves Elves of Darkness.
"Durin's Bane" refers to the particular Balrog of Morgoth that had fled following the War of Wrath to dwell deep within the depths of the Dwarven kingdom of Moria. Although its true name and particular history are unknown, this Balrog eventually became an important figure during the War of the Ring after being awakened by the dwarves of Moria. It was not until the Fellowship of the Ring had passed through Moria and inadvertently reawakened the Balrog that it was finally slain in a great duel with the wizard Gandalf. Durin's Bane was one of the Maiar spirits that existed before the world was created (of the same race as Gandalf and Saruman), who descended into Arda with the Valar. It was eventually seduced and corrupted by Melkor, becoming one of the Valaraukar and joining with the other Balrogs in Morgoth's service.
