The INFJ’s need to grasp ideas in abstract form is related to his need for wholeness. But the INFJ has the ability to go beyond abstractions, to see all sides of a concept, to see it in terms of the whole, in terms of the “whole picture” rather than in terms of isolated bits and pieces.
