3. I'm a big fan of yours, and I love your blog. But I have to ask: Is it true that you are a recovering alcoholic?
Yes. And a recovering drug addict and a recovering sex addict. But mostly I'm just recovering from alcoholism. It's been about six years, and I'm still sober. I also have some work to do on my sex addiction.
4. I'm in the process of going through my own struggles with alcoholism. It's a difficult process, because I'm a bit of a perfectionist and tend to beat myself up when I fail at something. If you could offer any advice to an alcoholic, what would it be?
Just don't give up. The disease is serious, but it's really not a death sentence. You don't have to be an alcoholic forever.
5. What's one piece of advice you would give your younger self?
I don't know if I would offer any advice to my younger self, because I think that I would want to give myself the same advice.
