They prefer to be left alone, and like to keep their thoughts private. ISTPs will often be very private about their thoughts and feelings, and will not open up easily to others. ISTPs are shy and reserved, and will not make friends easily. They are more likely to be loners than extroverts, but they are social in nature. ISTPs are usually very independent, and like to be self-sufficient. They are not afraid to do things by themselves, and can be independent workers. ISTPs are very good at finding solutions to problems, and can often see the solution before anyone else. They are excellent at fixing things, creating things, taking apart things, and creating new things.
