Teodor Currentzis personality type is ISFP, which means he’s creative, thoughtful, and expressive. He was born in Germany and lived there for much of his childhood. He first moved to the United States when he was 18 years old. He first encountered the idea of an AI bot when he was 14 years old.
“I remember reading about all of this stuff,” Currentzis said, “and I was like, ‘This is all kind of overwrought, but what if I made a bot that would answer the same questions I was asking about AI?’”
Currentzis got into programming when he was in high school. He remembers learning about the Lisp programming language in a class and instantly wanting to learn more. He says he wasn’t actively looking for a job in AI until he started learning about the field through the textbooks in school.
He went on to study computer science in college and is now a senior software engineer at Google. Currentzis said he’s been fascinated with the concept of AI for as long as he can remember, and he believes we’re on the cusp of a breakthrough in the field.
