“I’ve always had an affinity for the game of football, especially since I was younger,” she said. “There’s so much strategy involved, but at the same time, it’s also so much fun. I love the camaraderie of the game and it allows you to be outside, in nature. And I feel like you can connect with people in many different ways during the game.”
Esperanza is also an athlete. She played soccer in high school and later played volleyball at the University of Minnesota. Her passion for sports helped her land her gig as a sideline reporter for ESPN.
